Fowler Metal Industries Ltd. Plant 2 & 3 – Brantford and Burford facilities

We are currently seeking full-time support in our Brantford and Burford Production Departments.

Day Shift: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 12:00 pm Friday
Afternoon Shift: 4:30 pm – 2:30 am Monday – Thursday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate all machines, welders, tools and equipment in department or designated area and perform arc, mig welding to quality standards
• Ensure that all machines, tools and equipment are safe to operate
• Ensure that customer service levels, cycle times and quality expectations are met
• Adhere to departmental quality certification requirements
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards as specified
• Rework defective parts as specified

NECESSARY SKILLS:
• Able to weld flat and horizontal
• 3-5 years’ experience working in a steel production environment
• Capable of measuring dimensions of parts to blue print specifications
• Ability to read blue print drawings
• Physically capable of lifting parts up to 30 lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be professional, respectful of others and avoids unnecessary conflict
• Interest in being part of growing team environment
• Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
